Privacy Policy

Privacy practices for GovAwardData.com, an independent public-data directory.

This is a general template and not legal advice. Have counsel review before launch.

Who operates this site

GovAwardData.com is an independent public-data directory operated by its owner (operator identity to be finalized before launch). It is not affiliated with the U.S. government. For questions, use our contact page.

Information we collect

  • Data you provide directly. Only what you choose to send us (for example, an email for a question or correction). The core site requires no account.
  • Server logs. Standard request metadata (such as IP address and user agent) may be processed by our hosting provider for security and reliability.
  • Analytics — not currently enabled. If site analytics (e.g. Google Analytics 4) are enabled later, they would collect aggregate, non-personal usage data, subject to consent where required. No analytics run today.

Advertising and third-party vendors (future)

No advertising is enabled today. If display advertising is enabled in the future, third-party vendors — potentially including Google (AdSense) or a managed ad partner — may use cookies and similar technologies to serve, cap, and measure ads. Depending on your region and choices, you may see personalized or non-personalized ads. Specific vendor names, data practices, and opt-out links will be added here and on the advertising policy and cookie policy pages before any ad script is activated.

Your choices and rights

  • You can control cookies through your browser settings.
  • Where required (for example, the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), non-essential cookies will not be set until you consent.
  • Residents of certain U.S. states may have rights to opt out of certain data sharing for targeted advertising; an opt-out mechanism will be provided if/when advertising is enabled.
  • Regional rights detail (GDPR/UK GDPR/US state laws) to be finalized with counsel.
