Corrections & Data Accuracy

How to request a correction on GovAwardData.com and how we handle data accuracy for public federal award records.

GovAwardData.com summarizes public federal contract award records. We do not own the underlying records and cannot change the official systems of record. We can, however, review and fix how a record is presented on this site.

How to request a correction

If a page appears to misrepresent a public record — a wrong figure, a mismatched entity, or a display error — email hello@govawarddata.com with:

  • the exact page URL;
  • what appears incorrect;
  • the correct value, if you know it; and
  • a link to the official source record, if available.

What we can and cannot change

  • We can fix presentation errors, entity-matching mistakes, stale summaries, and broken links on this site.
  • We cannot change the official record itself. Authoritative corrections must go through the relevant official system (USAspending.gov or SAM.gov / the awarding agency).

Our accuracy commitments

  • We present award data factually, without scoring, ranking, or editorializing.
  • We label our source and a last-synced date on data pages.
  • We do not fabricate fields; missing data (such as CAGE codes) is shown as unavailable.
  • We review good-faith correction requests promptly.
