About
GovAwardData.com is an independent public-data directory of U.S. federal contract awards. Learn who operates it, what it is, and what it is not.
GovAwardData.com is an independent directory that makes public U.S. federal contract award data easier to search, understand, and cite. We turn official public procurement records into clean, fast lookup pages for companies, CAGE codes, UEIs, award identifiers (PIIDs), agencies, and industry and product classifications — and we surround that data with plain-English guides that explain how to use it.
Who operates this site
GovAwardData.com is operated by Perry Grimaldi, an independent publisher. We are not a government body and have no government affiliation. You can reach us at hello@govawarddata.com or via our contact page.
Our mission
Public federal spending data is genuinely open, but it can be hard to navigate. Our goal is to make it fast to look up a contractor, an award, or a category, and to explain the underlying concepts clearly enough that a procurement professional, a small-business owner, a lender, or a curious citizen can all get value from it. We aim to be more useful for quick lookups than the official portals, while always pointing back to those portals as the authority.
How we work
- We republish and summarize data from official public sources.
- We label our source and a last-synced date on data pages.
- We link each award to its official source record so you can verify it.
- We present facts without scoring, ranking, or editorializing about companies.
- We provide a corrections process for presentation errors.
What we are not
- We are not owned, operated, endorsed by, or affiliated with the U.S. government.
- We are not an official source or system of record.
- We do not use government seals, agency logos, or official designations.
- We make no legal guarantees about the data or its use, and we offer no legal or financial advice.
- We do not claim our dataset is complete, exhaustive, or real-time.
Use the data responsibly
Always verify figures that matter with the official source. Data shown here may lag official updates. See our methodology and data sources for how we source and transform data, our guide to responsible use, and our terms for acceptable use.
